We did started early...on the road at 6am... Funny thing we cruised though Sudbury at  10am....not bad when you are carrying a loaded 34 foot trailer...loaded for BC. The ride was as expected until we cruised into BEAR country....really....in

Just outside of Sudbury....there was a black bear....15 feet from us...enjoying the berries....we cruised right by...there was no way I was stopping.

We did  incredible   time stopping at Pancake Bay Provincial Park around 3pm. The kids hit the beach...smooth...clean...white sand....we all felt like we where at Clearwater Beach.

After a nice splash in water Tyler described it as Fr.....gen Freezing .........we had a nice BBQ.    Burgers...salad...and then a late night campfire.....

All in all a great day travelling,
Tomorrow.....a 7 am departure....lol

Our First Day

June 29 2013, day 1. Hi it's karlee and I'm blogging at the top of my bunk bed. Today we woke up at 5:00. We got ready and left at 6:00. It was only Tyler,Andy,nana,papa and my self. My mom had to stay at home. Just shes going to fly to Calgary and we are going to pick her up and then we will do the rest of the adventure with her. Today the drive was ok. We drove for ten hours and I slept for nine and a half. Kidding just for five hours. I sept on my nana shoulder and now she as stif as a boggy board. We saw really cool rock hills spilt in half and in between was the road. My nana told me how they spilt it in half. She said they would drill a hole and then stick dynamite down the hole and it will explode and then one meter away they would do the same thing over and over. That must be fun the first time but then it will get boring. Well that's what I think. We also saw a bear it was be side the rode and it was alive too. We tried to find a moose but we did not get to see that. On the drive andy/my dad was trying to find a gas station but we could not. Thankfully we found one but it was later. Later we went to a camp area and parked there. We went to the beach. It's nice to go to the beach after ten hours in the car. And now I'm blogging

Too much rain in Calgary.....

Just reading about Calgary.....I really hope things dry out in the next two weeks. We have to go through Canmore, Alberta to get to our camp site in Banff. We are booked for one week at Tunnel Mountain starting the 5th of July. It's the only highway unless we consider a 650 km detour.
The truck and trailer are ready...just waiting for Tyler to return from his Quebec City trip...next week grade 8 graduation....28th...last day of school.....and off we go.
